Maura really listened. I never once felt rushed or judged at any time. Maura’s recommendations on how to integrate small changes into my day-to-day life really helped me since it was personalized and in a holistic view. I had a healthier morning routine, saw higher energy levels, able to sleep better and I am happier in myself. 

Our guided meditations helped me tremendously throughout high periods of stress. Maura’s online sessions also meant that we were able to record our meditations that I could use in-between sessions that would help and support me. 

I am more confident in myself which has an ad-hoc effect in other areas in my life – I went back [to] dating, I put myself out in new networking groups to make new friends and [have started] to put myself forward for opportunities in my professional career. 

I have become more aware of my emotions which enable me to establish healthy boundaries in the aforementioned areas of my life also – dating, friendships and work –  but also to recognize the importance of self-care which was an area of my life which I ignored for so long.

I first met Maura approximately 7 years ago when i was referred to her by someone I know for Chinese herbs and acupuncture. Myself and my husband had been having fertility treatment for a number of years unsuccessfully including miscarriage, failed iui and ivf.

From the minute I met Maura I knew that we had made the right decision.
She immediately reassured me after our first consultation that she felt that she could help by correcting the imbalances in my body.

The first thing that struck me about Maura was her calmness….her acupuncture sessions were so relaxing and nurturing that I would usually fall asleep!Her background in nursing and midwifery gives her a solid understanding of different medical problems and she has such a deep knowledge of Chinese medicines and herbs that I always felt that I was in the best of hands……..and I was!

When I first came to Maura I had been trying to get pregnant for over a year. Following numerous blood tests I was told by doctors that we had very little chance of conceiving naturally.

From the outset, Maura set out to establish the root cause of my issue and ensured that I received the most effective treatment. The treatment that Maura has given me over the last year and a half in person and virtually has been somewhat life changing for me. It has become about so much more than fertility. My attitude has changed, my mind is clearer, I feel grounded and more confident and much more positive about life.

Maura also helped me to deal with numerous issues. And on the baby front…well I’m not pregnant yet….however it is no longer dominating everything else in my life. I have been able to accept that this is not on my timeline and not under my control – I am a bit of a control freak by nature so this acceptance wasn’t easy to let go but has become incredibly freeing.
